Happy Birthday to My Little Penny!

That's right, my girl turns 4 today. You can bet she is getting lots of extra snuggles, a nice walk, and a special dinner :)

Georgia Goes to the Dog Park

When I was watching Ms. Georgia for several weeks, she had so much energy to burn, so we went to the dog park all the time. She LOVED it. She was very polite with dogs who didn't want to wrestle or play with her, but when she found a buddy that wanted to race around-she couldn't get enough! And I sure loved when we got home and she just wanted to sleep! :)

A Calm Lab Puppy?!

Mia was pretty shy when I first came over, but she got more and more excited to come out and see me each time I came. After a few days, she would come over to me and want her belly rubbed, rub against my legs, and want me to turn on her sink faucet so she could play in the water :)

This big cuddle-bug makes me want a lab. He is the sweetest waggle butt who LOVES the blanket he sleeps on. He will drag it around with him, showing it off and wanting attention. How cute is he?!!

Meet Jack

Jack is a funny boy. He sure loves playing with his toys out in the yard. He is great at fetch, loves his walks in the neighborhood, and can melt your heart with those big eyes.

These two are a ball of energy when they are together. They will wrestle in the backyard for ages and run over to the pool for a drink when they get thirsty. They loved that their mom and dad left them extra special treats for me to give them while they were away :)

It was fun taking care of these girls, they are so sweet. They couldn't wait for their wet food at meal times, they each have claimed a bedroom as their own, and they both liked to sun bathe in the backyard.

Penny Was Busy Today

I took Penny to the park today and she had a lot of fun. She would play fetch all day if she could! How many Pennys can you spot in this picture?

Georgia Peach Fuzz

Nelly's little sister Georgia is quite the character. Whenever I take her to the dog park, she gets so many compliments. People ask what kind of mix she is. 

"Weimaraner? Pit mix? Oh but her color, and her wrinkles, hmm."

She is a shar-pei labrador mix. She loves wrestling with the other dogs, loves her hikes, inhales her food, and is such a snuggler. ♥

Willow is Benny and Jetson's sister and loves getting to go out and about. She loves the dog parks and will wrestle with other dogs until she has worn them all out. She has a rubber chicken that she loves and could play fetch all day :)

These two are fun to take care of. They are indoor cats who think they are the kings of the castle. They like to look out the windows and watch the wildlife and swat at their doggie sister.

Nelly is one of those dogs that you wish you could clone. She is so mellow, well behaved, and gets along well with everyone. Love her.

Meet TJ

TJ is an attention hog. He is always rolling over to get his belly scratched, rubbing against your legs, and sitting right next to you. He is Izzy and Ashbury's brother, and they all get along so well together. Love them.

Ashbury the German shepherd is Izzy's brother and as sweet as they come. He used to be a guide dog, but has since retired and is now a therapy dog. He never makes a peep and will lean into your leg to get more pets. I seriously love this dog.

Penny has been to quite a few states in less than 4 years. She has been all over CA, and to AZ, NM, TX, OK, AR, LA, MS, AL, and GA. And who knows where we will travel together next.

Meet Shep

Remember Tucker the golden retriever? Well, Shep is his "sister." Tucker actually found the bunny in a field near the family's home. After a few days of trying to catch the rabbit, the family finally succeeded and turned her into the shelter to see if she belonged to anyone. No one claimed her so they adopted her and she has been part of the family ever since! She has free roam of the house and backyard during the day, is litter box trained, and goes into her cage to sleep at night. How cool is that?!

Tucker

Tucker is one of the sweetest golden retrievers I know. He loves his stuffed squirrel toy, is so gentle, and is always up for a game of fetch or a walk. I always love taking care of him.

Swimming Lessons

Penny and Lobo got to go to the lake and test out their new life jackets. Lobo was a natural; Penny, not so much. She preferred to watch from the boat.
